If you haven't booked packing, demantling and assembling services, then please make sure all your belongings are packed and the bigger furniture is demantled. If you have sturdy furniture, you might choose leaving some light belongings like clothing or bedsheets inside the drawers. However if the item needs demantling, please make sure it is emptied.

We expect our clients to arrange a free parking space that is maximum 25 metres away from the entrance of the building. If there is a street parking in front of your property, we kindly recommend you to check if it is paid parking or if residence permit is needed. The number of boxes required for a move can vary widely. Therefore, we cannot make a general statement about how many moving boxes you will need. As a rough calculation aid, you can assume the following quantities: 30 boxes for a single household. For each additional person 20 to 25 boxes extra. For each baby or toddler another 10 boxes extra. Minimalists probably need a little less, collectors sometimes need significantly more boxes.

To control which inventory needs to be left, f you are a renter, reducing any contradictions and speeding the return of your deposit; you should check that you have the inventory that is described in your contract at hand.

2)Then check fixtures and fittings :To check what items you have to leave behind in the property, if you are a seller, it is important to be sure that you have the Property Fixtures and Fittings Form at hand. To make sure that you take what you are entitled to move, cite to your contract.

3)Now move all of your belongings :To make sure that you move all your belongings, double check the property and outbuildings.

Next crucial step is to prepare a checklist for whom you need to notify when you’re moving to a new house.

Directly Notify:

-Phone / Internet Supplier – Before you move check with your phone and internet supplier if you can transfer your existing packages to the new address. You can also check for new packages in your new address that can be a better option for you. If your existing packages are the optimal, transfer them. If not, control your contract for any cancellation fees and set a cancellation day to change your packages.

-Council tax – Make sure to notify councils for the district of your new house and the old, if it is different.

-TV Licence Supplier – Up to 3 months before you move you can move your licence to your new address up.

Closer to Your Moving Day Notify:

-Insurance providers– For possible insurance premium changes with your address change notify your life insurer and car insurer of your new address. However, be careful about your moving day and make sure that your car insurance details are not scheduled to change until the

day you move in.

-HMRC – Contact with HMRC to notify them of your move for any change needed of your records. If you are a student, you should notify HMRC for your student loans.

-Utility Suppliers – Make sure that there are not any unpaid utility bills left. For your final bills notify your utility suppliers and tell them the date of your move and the new address.

-Mobile phone company – For your mobile phone bills, notify the mobile phone company of your new address.

-Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency – You should notify DVLA of your new address for any needed account changes, if you need any changes for your driving licence or log book.

-Work – Give notice to your employer and human resources of your move. Also contact with the Department of Work and Pensions to get your allowances. Change your address and notify the jobcentre if you are a jobseeker change.

-Post office – For the post office to redirect any mail to your new address, Notify them at least 10 days before the day you move.

After Your Moving Day Notify:

-Financial Authorities – Make sure to notify your bank and update your credit card information, investments, pensions and building society to get your statements to your new address.

-Health Professionals – Inform your doctors, dentist and optician about your new address.
